ALANNA STEINBERG, Camp Director
Alanna began her love for camp right here at Camp Ruach, as both a camper and then a counselor for more than 16 years! She has a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and a Masters in Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Alanna was a Camp Director at another JCC for 4 years and re-joined Camp Ruach in 2018. She loves spending each and every moment of camp alongside the campers and staff helping to make their summers memorable and magical. Alanna believes everyone can grow and flourish at camp and works with each family to make sure their children have the BEST summers at Camp Ruach!

BECKY METZGER, Assistant Camp Director
Rebecca (but everyone calls her Becky) has spent 29 summers across three different camps as a camper, counselor, camper recruiter, assistant program director and assistant director. Camp is in her blood! Becky takes pride in the long history of camping traditions and is excited to make the JCC a part of her family and yours. As a new JCC parent, with twin kindergarteners and a three year-old, she is excited to bring her enthusiasm, encouragement, and true love of camp to Camp Ruach. Outside of camping, Rebecca has previously created recreation programs for the senior community at numerous assisted living facilities in New Jersey. One of Rebecca’s secret talents is working with balloons! She also has her own party decorating business.

LAUREN PANICCIA, Camp Registrar
Lauren has been a staple at Camp Ruach for 16 summers! She previously served as the Camp Operations Director planning trips and entertainment for all of our campers. In 2019 she transitioned over to Camp Registrar where she looks forward to working with each of our camp families and ensuring they are all set on the back-end! She and her two children have loved working summers at camp.

JAMIE KUPPERMAN, Program Director
Jamie is excited to be Camp Ruach Team! She breaths camp spirit all yearlong; planning, scheming, and getting ready to bring on the fun! She was formerly the Athletics Director and still serves as the JCC Challenge Course Manager and Certified Trainer for our state-of-the-art ropes course. You will often find Jamie running around the sports fields, in a harness on the ropes course, and of course dancing at the Gadol stage. She is our most likely Senior Staff to be armed with a can of whipped cream (or two!) or caught off-guard with a pie to the face. Mom to two of our campers, (Mia and Brayden), she loves getting to use camp as an excuse to stay young-at-heart and is already counting down the days until Summer 2022.
