According to New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development: Employees at summer camps, conferences, and retreats operated by any nonprofit or religious corporation or association are exempt from minimum and overtime rates during the months of June, July, August, and September.

Many of our staff are former campers and bring with them the spirit, passion and love for Camp Ruach that their counselors instilled in them.
Each summer, we find the best of the best for their position. All staff are interviewed, receive background checks, and provide references.
Once they are hired, they continue the process through staff training before camp begins and continue staff training throughout the summer.
Camp Ruach’s specialists are adults who develop curriculum and programs in their specialty. They are each trained in their specialty area ranging from culinary arts, to musical theater to athletic coaches and are committed to ensuring your child has new experiences in a safe, fun environment.
