Where Every Day is a New Adventure!
Camp Ruach has everything you can possibly imagine for campers to enjoy! Every age group has slightly different programming ensuring the activities are both age appropriate and that campers have new activities to look forward to each summer!
All specialty areas are facilitated by trained staff in their respective areas. Some activities, including ropes course and archery are taught by certified staff in those respective areas.

Sports & Adventure
Camp Ruach offers a wide array of sports and games throughout the summer. Through sports, we teach our campers life-long skills such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, communication, and leadership. Our goal is to introduce campers to as many sports as possible and help them continue to foster a love of physical activity paired with healthy and friendly competition.

From First Strokes to Big Waves, We've Got You Covered!
Aquatics
Aquatics is one of the most important and most loved activities during the summer.
We have 3 heated saltwater pools:
- Outdoor pool, 4-6 ft deep, with water slide
- Outdoor intermediate pool 2-3 ft deep
- Open Air pool: with zero entry ramp ranging from 0-4 feet in depth.
Teaching campers the fundamental skills of water safety paired with teaching swim technique and confidence is of top priority to our aquatics team. And of course, free swim and the splash pad are personal favorites of all of our campers!
Instructional & Free Swim
- Our pools are monitored and maintained by American Red Cross certified Life Guards.
- All of our swim instructors are Water Safety Instructor certified.
- Our 3 year olds through 3rd graders receive instructional swim every morning.
- Tzahov Campers (Grades 4- 6) are given the option of choosing instructional swim for one of their electives.
- All campers are tested for their swim group on the first day of camp and placed into a level with other campers of the same swim ability.
- Parents can login to our SwimGen online report system to access weekly progress reports and track child’s improvement and progress for the week.
- Free Swim is enjoyed every afternoon in either the outdoor or indoor pools for our non-napping and full day campers.
Splash Pad
Our ADA Splash Pad is open to everyone. It 's great for campers of all ages and abilities. It has 15 fun and exciting elements.

S.T.E.A.M.
The camp schedule is made complete with our array of arts and science programming. Facilitated by experts in their fields, campers will explore their creative sides in our art, cooking, and STEM studios. It is amazing to see the beautiful, tasty, and explosive projects campers make!

Join JCC Camp Ruach this summer for a Musical Theater Intensive! In just 4 short weeks, campers grades 2-9, will become musical stars through acting, singing, and dancing, put together a spectacular musical, enjoy the best of summer camp activities, and be part of the fabulous Camp Ruach community!
Dates: June 22-July 17, 2026
Musical: Will be announced beginning of February!
Program Highlights:
Musical: Strengthen your performing arts skills with unique theater games, learn complex choreography and music ensembles (is that the right language??), special guest facilitators from professional actors, and more
All Campers: Daily swim, weekly electives, Friday Shabbat and entertainment, special camp programming.
Campers grade 4 and up will also have 1 trip/week.

Special Programs and Events
In addition to all of the athletic and artistic programming, some of our favorite camp activities are those that have a strong emphasis on CAMP!
Such activities include:
- Weekly Entertainments (including magicians, hypnotists, jugglers, BMX specialists, bubble shows, animal shows, and more!)
- Wacky Wednesday Dress-up Days
- Weekly Inflatables
- Ben Butler Memorial Camp Scholarship Summer Carnival
- Maccabi Games (Color War)
- Israeli Culture
- Shabbat - campwide end of week celebration filled with song, dance, reflection, and camp spirit.
- Mitzvah (good deed) based activities including making kindness rocks, Shabbat-o-grams for friends, signs of positivity to post around camp
Campers Love Choices!
Electives
Starting in 2nd grade our campers are able to choose from a variety of Chugim (electives). These choices give our campers the chance to participate in activities they really love or try something completely new. Campers pick new chugim each week.
- Gadol (2nd-3rd Grade) - select 2 chugim per week
- Tzahov (4th-6th Grade) - select 4 chugim per week
- Sababa (7th-9th Grade) - select 4 chugim per week
