RUACH! Values

For the past 25 summers, JCC Camp Ruach has made a positive and meaningful impact on the thousands of campers, staff, and families who have come through our esteemed camp program. Our strong and intentional set of values are interwoven into all aspects of camp and are used as guideposts as we look into the future. 

At the core of the Camp Ruach program are our relationships. Relationships at every level -  between campers, campers and staff, the camp and families - are treasured and cultivated throughout the entire camp journey. 

We put the unity into commUNITY here at Camp Ruach! We are grateful to be part of an amazing community and strive to give back in many different ways through bake sales, penny wars, and volunteer projects. Our communal focus is what makes Camp Ruach stand apart from the rest.

At Camp Ruach, adventure is everywhere! Dive into the pool, soar down the zip line, compete in color wars, cook up fun, and enjoy exciting trips. Every day is a new adventure, full of discovery and growth. Campers gain independence, build confidence, and make unforgettable memories all summer long! 

Camp Ruach is more than just what is provided, it is what they make of it. Campers make beautiful custom pieces in the art studio, showcase their singing and acting talent in the musical, and are always encouraged to think out of the box. Camp is about coloring outside the lines and dreaming big!

Camp Ruach is everyone’s home for the summer. From the silly and fun camp traditions, to the milestones that campers look forward to each summer, to the year-round events. Families choose to return to Camp Ruach year after year because of the familial feeling, the strong sense of community, and the opportunity to continue growing year after year.

JCC Camp Ruach is open to all children and families and is dedicated to creating an environment that is open, understanding, and accepting. We celebrate and champion our differences and what makes each of us unique and special. We are proud to welcome individuals and families of all religions, cultures, genders, economic status, and backgrounds to be part of our camp family.
